Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of soft tissue. It has been an accepted healing practice for hundreds of years.
It is extremely effective for the treatment of headaches, tendonitis/bursitis, athletic injuries, whiplash, low back pain, neck pain and muscle tension. It’s a great way to help your body and mind relax, prevent injuries, reduce stress and improve your overall well-being.
All of our therapists are Registered Massage Therapists. Their services are covered by extended health care and private insurance plans.
Massage services are available days, evenings and weekends, by appointment, in 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 minute sessions.
Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands-on health care discipline that focuses on the musculoskeletal system.
Busy, active lives take their toll on our bodies. We put tremendous physical demands on ourselves, creating structural imbalances (called subluxations). An unbalanced body can’t function at its full potential; chiropractic treatment can get things back into balance for optimized wellness.
Chiropractic is based on the premise that the body is only well when the nervous system is functioning at 100%. When your spine is misaligned, it puts pressure on your nerves, causing vertebral subluxations that lead to muscle tension, joint restriction, back pain, arthritic changes and nerve impingement, all of which can exist with or without physical symptoms.
Doctors of chiropractic restore motion and alignment to these areas with gentle and effective adjustments, enabling the body to perform at optimal levels without injury.
Chiropractic doesn’t look at symptoms or injuries in isolation. It’s a holistic practice that focuses on the whole person, considering the relationship of all the parts of your body to each other. It ‘s an approach that isn’t about treating a single part of your body; it stresses the importance of a comprehensive prevention strategy that incorporates nutrition, exercise and stress reduction.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient form of Chinese medicine in which needles are inserted into specific points on the body to treat disease, prevent illness, and improve overall well-being. Completely safe and virtually pain-free, it is an effective way to address physical, psychological and emotional problems – everything from pain to insomnia, infertility to obesity has been treated by acupuncture.
Acupuncture originated in China more than 5,000 years ago and, due to its proven effectiveness, has been embraced throughout the world as a treatment option for a range of health issues. Hair-thin, sterile needles are placed into the skin at various of points, with subtle variations in the direction, depth of insertion, and the way the needles are manipulated in the patient's body.

Counselling
Counselling assesses and treats emotional, mood, thought, cognition, or behavioural disturbances that may be impacting the client’s level of functioning.
Sometimes in life there seems to be a stand-still or there is a struggle that does not seem to go away on it's own. Counselling assists people with their life. We approach counselling through a variety of therapies that best suit the clients needs, working alongside them to determine their goals in therapy. Counselling offers a secure place for people to be themselves, facing no judgement. Clients share parts of themselves that they may never have spoken to other individuals.
Our therapist, Carrie offers a 30 minute free consultation so you may meet with her, ask your questions, discuss your concerns and to see if the two of you make a good fit for therapy. If you feel it's time to move forward with your life, then it's time to see what therapy can do for you!
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a natural medicine that uses palpation to restore function by treating the causes of pain and imbalance. Osteopathic manual practitioners identify, assess, and treat the body’s structures and rhythms using a gentle, hands-on approach.
Osteopathic manual practitioners gently yet intentionally touch the tissues or systems under examination. They palpate to get sensory information through touch receptors in the fingertips and palms, and through the proprioceptors (motion and position sensors) deep in the joints of the hands, wrists, arms and shoulders.
The ability to detect minute modifications in the tissues allows osteopathic manual practitioners to prioritize a patient's course of treatment. They look for a variety of issues including congestion, dehydration, scarring, stiffness, density, loss of resilience, and motility, and also assess position, mobility and vitality to determine which areas need immediate attention.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a natural, non-invasive technique using gentle pressure on reflex areas of the feet, hands & ears to help stimulate the body’s own healing process and to bring about a state of deep relaxation.
When the reflexes are stimulated the body’s natural electrical energy works along the nervous system to clear blockages in the corresponding zone. Reflexology is safe for people of all ages, from newborn babies to those receiving end of life care. Reflexology relieves stress and tension, improves circulation and helps to balance the physical, mental and emotional aspects of the whole person.
